1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how TradeStreet (the "App"), operated by Lukshya Arora ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and protects your information. The App is an educational trading simulator — it handles no real money and no real brokerage accounts. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information You Provide
Account and sign-in:
Email address and password, if you register with email. Your password is stored only as a salted cryptographic hash — we never store or see it in plain text.
Name and email address received from Google, if you sign in with Google (where available).
Phone number, if you sign in by phone (where available), used only to identify your account.
Profile details (all optional except your name, editable or removable in the Profile tab at any time):
Date of birth — used solely to confirm age eligibility
Preferred display currency
Self-described trading experience level
3. Information Created as You Use the App
To make the learning features work, the App stores your activity on our servers:
Quiz attempts and results, and lesson progress
Historical-scenario runs, including your decisions, reasoning choices, and scores
Trade-journal statistics derived from those runs
Hearts (lives), daily activity days, and streaks
Practice Trading activity on the fictional Meridian Exchange — simulated orders, holdings, and virtual cash with no monetary value
4. Purchases
Subscriptions are billed by the app store you purchased through (e.g., the Apple App Store). We never receive or store your card, bank, or UPI details — payment is processed entirely by the app store.
To activate a subscription, the App sends your app-store purchase receipt to our server for validation. We store the resulting subscription record: the product purchased, your subscription tier, its expiry date, and an app-store transaction identifier used to prevent one purchase from being shared across accounts.
5. What We Do Not Collect
No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included in the App.
No precise location — only the city and country you choose to type into your profile.
No contacts, photos, microphone, or camera access.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
6. How We Use Your Information
To provide and personalise the App — your name in greetings, your preferred currency for display, and your experience level for content.
To confirm age eligibility (date of birth only).
To operate gamification features: hearts, streaks, and progress tracking.
To enforce free-tier limits and activate paid subscriptions.
To keep accounts secure and prevent fraud or abuse, such as blocking one purchase receipt from unlocking multiple accounts.
To comply with applicable law.
7. Sharing of Information
We share information only with:
Infrastructure providers that host the App and its database (currently Netlify), which process data on our behalf.
The app store (e.g., Apple) when validating purchase receipts.
Authorities or courts where disclosure is required by applicable law.
We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for third-party marketing.
8. Data Security
All traffic between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
Passwords are stored only as salted cryptographic hashes.
Sessions use signed tokens, and sign-in endpoints are rate-limited against brute force.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information with industry-standard measures.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information while your account is active. You can edit or clear optional profile fields in the Profile tab at any time. To delete your account and its data, contact us at lukshyaarora2009@gmail.com and we will remove it within a reasonable time, except where the law requires us to keep specific records.
10. Children's Privacy
The App is designed for learners, including minors using it with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian (see our Terms and Conditions). Registration requires a minimum self-declared age of 13. We collect no more information from minors than described in this policy. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information without your consent, contact us at lukshyaarora2009@gmail.com and we will delete it.
11. Your Rights
Access and correction — view and edit your profile details in the App at any time.
Deletion — request removal of your account and data via the contact below.
Grievance redressal — contact us with any privacy concern and we will respond within a reasonable time, as required by applicable Indian data protection law.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Privacy Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Delhi-NCR, India.
